Passionate speakers successfully addressed the Denver Parks and Recreation Department 12-Apr-23 in an effort to have a hiking trail named in honor of Winston Walker. Winston was a dedicated hiker who promoted hiking activities and actively encouraged those seeking hiking adventures and wilderness forays. The Parks and Recreation Department passed a motion to have a trail named after Winston. That recommendation now moves to the Denver City Council for final approval. Winston was also a great supporter of the Rocky Mountain Wa Shonaji Quilt Guild and was particularly appreciated for his many photographic contributions over the years.
