Description: The background fabrics for this quilt were given to me by my girlhood friend Paula when we were on a girl’s weekend trip in Las Vegas. She had finally won her battle with Breast Cancer, and we were celebrating. I came home and stored the fat quarter bundles, waiting for just the right project. In March of 2017, I received a message that my friend had gotten an infection and had passed away. By October, I knew I had to do something with her fabric. This is the project to Remember her. I had another friend, Gail, who was a survivor as well with whom I played cards. She passed away in April 2017. You will find both of their names on the face of this quilt.
