Title: Nanci Vaughn – Denver, CO - “Denver Central Library”

Description: The Denver Central Library was built in the 1950's and designed by Burnham Holt. It was renovated and expanded in 1995 with a design by architect, Michael Graves. I love the architect's sense of adventure in designing the buildings with such challenging shapes, colors, and creativity, all while maintaining and building around the original 1950's structure. In choosing the library for the theme, I wanted to challenge myself on a much smaller scale but a challenge just the same. I love to spend time at the library, and I never tire of driving past the library just to view the structure. Libraries, we miss you!
